You want to get active but prefer challenges for a lower to moderate fitness level? We have collected a variety of events across the UK for city dwellers and outdoor lovers. No matter if you want to do it by yourself or create a whole team, you will get active and contribute to a good cause!

London 10 Peaks Challenge

Discover 10 of London’s hidden peaks, enjoy different views over the city and immerse yourself  in the surprising variety of London’s wild life. This challenge will cover the distance of a marathon over one day. 

Dates: 19th of March and 29th of October 2022 


Cotswold Way Challenge

A two-day event for trekkers of any level of experience. Take on the 100km trek through the beautiful Cotswold and enjoy the magical food paths, hills, and views. The good thing about this challenge; you can choose between three distances 25km, 50km or the full two days trek with 100km and also if you want to walk, run or jog is entirely up to you.

Date: 25th to 26th of June 2022


National Three peaks Challenge

This trek is one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges. It’s for those of you who want to take on a tougher physical challenge and a more fast paced trek. Climb Britain's three highest peaks including Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon over the course of two days.

Dates: 27th-29th of August, 17th-19th September,

1st-3rd October, 8th-10th October 2021

3rd-5th of June, 8th-10th of July, 12th-14th August,

9th-11th September 2022


Trekfest the Beacon

Trekfest offers the possibility to choose the distance you want to complete and is therefore an ideal challenge for all levels. Enjoy this trek through the Brecon beacon whilst making the miles really count!

Kilimanjaro Trek

For those desiring an international bucket list adventure, the Kilimanjaro Challenge surely is one of a kind. The route allows for gradual acclimatisation to the altitude and will take you through rainforest, moorland and scree before you reach the peak.

Dates: 16th-26th of June 2022, 22nd of September-2nd of October


Marathons and Bike Rides

Do you like to push your fitness levels to the limits? Then maybe one of the many half or full marathons hosted throughout the whole year and in different locations across the UK might be the right choice for you. Sign up solo or as a team, select us as your charity of choice and start your training!

Virgin Money London Marathon

Join the world’s biggest marathon from wherever you are!  If you are in London, you can join the live event and its record breaking 50,000 participants or join the virtual event and run a remote track of your choice. The event took place for the first time in 2020, as a response to lockdown restrictions and earned an entry in the Guinness World Records.

Date: 3rd of October 2021


Great Birmingham Run

The cities biggest running event returns! The run offers two options to participate. Sign up for the main event or the virtual running challenge completing 25 runs in the space of 8 weeks.

Date: 1st of May 2022


Worcester City Half Marathon

For those of you living further up north the Worcester city marathon is a great option. This year’s event is planned to be bigger and better than all previous runs and registrations are still open.

Date: 4th - 5th of September 2021


Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge

Enjoy the scenery of beautiful Northumbria and take on a tough challenge on two wheels. This two-day cycle starts at the west coast at Whitehaven and takes you all the way to the east coast ending in Whitley Bay. The 200k journey is ideal for more experienced cyclists.

Date: 11th – 12th September 2021

 


London to Paris Cycle

The London to Paris Bike Ride is one of BWAUK’S favourites and has been chosen by many donors before. Take on a four day adventure and cycle from capital to capital. Enjoy the beautiful English countryside, a ferry ride and traditional French scenery. Admission for this year’s challenge is still open!
